Seller's Scoop

  • View: We love sitting on our rockers on the front porch. Looking out over the pasture, garden and lawn, we can watch the horses grazing and the dogs exploring and playing. It is more peaceful than watching a campfire. The quiet openness soothes our minds.
  • Tree: We transplanted a number of trees from our woods but the weeping cherry off the back porch is a favorite. It bloomed this year for the first time.
  • Walk: We love walking the dogs on the paths through the woods in the summer. If it's too hot we can cheat and ride the golf cart. Other seasons we can circle the pasture. We put a glider at the top so we can site and enjoy the views.
  • Hike: We can walk a mile circling our property and since it's all fenced the dogs can be off leash.
  • Breakfast: Tommy's for country breakfast.
  • Lunch: Blue Mountain Pizza
  • Dinner: Stoney Knob Cafe
  • Living Here Has Been: Planning to move here from our 140 acre high mountain farm in Mitchell County gave us concerns about privacy and noise. But when we turn onto Sand Dollar, drive down through the large trees and come out at the pasture our blood pressures drop. We can wave to neighbors a couple times a week or hear the kids next door playing. We had a family reunion last summer with 40 or so family members. We had people on both porches and inside, kids on the trampoline and water slide - all having a great time. This is a great house for making memories. We're gonna miss it.
