- View: The home's most beautiful view is the incredible pond. It's a treasure to be able to sit on the porch swing and watch the ever-changing activity on the water be it the wind, the rain, sunshine, wildlife or family swimming, kayaking or fishing.
- Room: I love to be on the large, covered stone porch overlooking the pond and the property. It's a continual show for the eyes and the ever-present gurgling of the pond's waterfall in the distance is a perfect backdrop.
- Tree: There is one tree I've named The Sentinel who towers over all the others. It's kind of fun to think it watches over everything!
- Walk: The land holds surprises created by nature all year long. It's delightful to discover what's new on a meander around the pond, over the foot bridges, and make a visit to the labyrinth on the way to the trail that leads to the waterfall.
- Hike: Besides all the hiking at Dupont I've enjoyed, I love the long range view from the Glassy Mountain trail at Carl Sandburg. Being so close, I hike it multiple times I a week, seeing white squirrels, turkey, deer and yes, even bear!
- Breakfast: HenDough is a great little local place to grab a bite to eat anytime- especially breakfast.
- Lunch: Flat Rock Bakery or Flat Rock Wood Room are close-by fantastic places for lunch!
- Dinner: Adorable Main Street in Hendersonville offers so many excellent restaurants to choose from for any meal! Shine and Indian Aroma Bistro are two of my absolute favorites.
- Pub/Winery: Oklawaha Brewery offers a hometown feel for local brews. Check out their Open Mike Nights and local live bands.
- Living Here Has Been: The energy and vibrancy of this private refuge must be experienced for yourself! Words cannot to it justice. There are special spots all over the land: foot bridges, winding creek, pond, waterfall, the labyrinth, rhododendron forest, mossy footpaths, expansive dock with its covered patio. This oasis will always have a place in my heart. I am excited to have prepared it for the next owners to enjoy and bask in what I have experienced here.
