What is my “happy place”?

My screened porch with my hubby and kitties, with a coffee in hand, watching dawn unfold, and hearing and seeing the “world outside” wake up.

Firm believer in?

My parents taught me that honesty, integrity, and principles should always guide me.

What is my favorite movie?

Dirty Dancing—totally because of the amazing dance scenes! (OK, and maybe a little because of Patrick Swayze.)

What are my favorite pastimes?

Travel, photography, dancing, gardening, and being near, on, or in the water.

My best adventure?

Living on a deserted island off the coast of Puerto Rico for 3 weeks, with 20 other college students and 2 professors. The class was called “Island Ecology”—and yes, I got credit for it!

What's my guilty pleasure?

Refer back to my answer on “Favorite Movie.” Also, dark chocolate, Old Bay-spiced French fries, cheesy “beach reads,” and a good Grey Goose cosmopolitan.

    Our home went on the market the same weekend that the world shut down due to Covid. For that reason and a variety of others, the sale became complicated and at times frustrating. Alicia maintained her professionalism and excellent judgement throughout. She was available to answer our questions or concerns in a timely manner. Her ideas and suggestions were always spot on. We never questioned her expertise. Alicia is a great negotiator and makes what can be a stressful experience a lot easier. We highly recommend Alicia.

    Alicia was extremely helpful over approximately one (1) year to help us review properties and ultimately find the perfect new house. Alicia was very patient as we became familiar with the Carolina Beach area and was very responsive to all of our requests. Alicia was clearly an advocate for us to ensure we got the best property for the money that we wanted to spend and direct us through all the different steps of the home buying process.Overall it was a great experience working with Alicia!

    Alicia was amazing! Professional, super pleasant, responsive and knowledgeable of both the local area and the typical beach things. She “read” us well and didn’t waste our time with things we already knew/didn’t need to do. She fought like a bulldog on our behalf with the seller/other agent, never once losing her cool or professional manner. She was able to recommend multiple great tradespeople and professionals, all of which have been great. We had a really great experience and Alicia was the driving force behind it.

    We were extremely pleased with our selection of Alicia Devereaux of Intracoastal Realty to list our home. She had been recommended to us by another NC Broker-in-Charge, and we are so glad that we took her advice. From the outset, Alicia spent a lot of time helping us reach a decision for the listing price, based upon the sale price of very comparable homes that had sold in our specific neighborhood. She next prepared exceptional marketing materials including professional still photography, drone photography, 360 degree photography, a very attractive fact sheet, plus a wide assortment of social media coverage of our home. In addition, she developed an extensive notebook of detailed information with handouts about our home for placement on a counter for prospective buyers. She was very sensitive to our desire for prospective buyers to take health precautions when touring our home, in light of the on-going pandemic. She provided very comprehensive and very timely feedback from each of our many showings. She provided helpful advice regarding negotiation of offers made for the purchase of our home. She also identified a vendor to help with one of the due diligence repair requirements made by the eventual buyer. She even met with that vendor while he did the required repairs since we had to be out of the area at that time.In light of my previous professional experience as a Real Estate Salesperson in another state, I know a most professional Real Estate Broker when I see one.     Alicia is simply Fantastic! My family was looking to purchase a property in Carolina Beach. Trying to do this from out-of-state, we really needed a realtor that was knowledgable of the area, extremely responsive, had attention for detail and was completely honest. Alicia fit this criteria perfectly!Her experience as a realtor became evident as she confidently worked through some issues along the way. Her communication is outstanding.     Alicia knows the area and market really well. She was also great at managing my desires with the amount I was willing to spend.     This was my 2nd experience having Alicia as my real estate pro and it was delightful. Working with her from out of state was seamless as her communication process is top notch. She had important knowledge of the area and the other professionals in the area that she shared while also letting me have input in all decisions with all things.
