As someone who chose to plant roots in the Valley, Amber loves to welcome people to the area and share all of her favorite hidden gems. Because, ultimately, she believes you should love where you live!
The Shenandoah Valley holds a special place in my heart. About 10 years ago, my grandparents purchased property in Timberville, with the intention of subdividing it and giving each of their three children a part of the land, for them to have somewhere to retire.
After graduating from JMU in 2019, I got my first apartment in Harrisonburg. I met my partner shortly thereafter, who grew up in the area, and he showed me all of the hidden gems in the Valley, from overlook spots like Reddish Knob, to my favorite hiking trail in New Market. I experienced floating on the river, jeeping, and much more. Needless to say, I quickly fell in love with the area and everything it has to offer.
It isn't hard sharing the love I have for this local community when it is as amazing as I know it is. When my partner and I are not out exploring, we are on our little homestead with our two dogs, Ranger and Apollo, six cats, and our ever-growing flock of chickens!
The Valley's convenient location along two major interstates, I-81 and I-64, makes our area a prime home base for day trips to larger cities like DC or Charlottesville.
I enjoy the simple and little things in life, and I'm thankful everyday that I get to do what I love, and thoughtfully and intentionally help others navigate a huge life decision. I would love the opportunity to meet you and help you find the place you love to live!
