Purchasing a house CAN be stressful, but I'm of the opinion it SHOULD be fun. It's sort of like being a raft guide. I want you to experience the party as we go down the river, don't worry about the rocks.
Mat Shelton-Eide entered the real estate world in 2020 after a decade of running his own Richmond businesses as a serial entrepreneur. He owned a popular vintage store in the Fan -- Addison Vintage -- as well as Carytown's original "Brick & Mortar" clothing store. He also writes for the website he founded, VCURamNation.com, covering college basketball in his spare time locally, when he’s not helping new friends make their real estate dreams come true as an agent with Nest!
A longtime Fan resident turned Bellevue evangelist, Mat loves city living and helping clients find unique homes with character and historic charm. He considers himself a de facto Richmond tour guide, having spent such a large amount of his life downtown, coming to the city initially to attend VCU as an undergraduate art student, then later receiving his Master’s degree from VCU’s Center for Sport Leadership. Mat loves the pace of Richmond and is constantly recruiting out-of-towners to experience the Richmond way of life for themselves. He enjoys supporting local restaurants and shopping small with his wife, Cindy, and their two kids, Linus and Jude.
